On regular Factorio servers, players are required to have a valid Factorio.com account to connect. This requirement helps maintain security and accountability within the gaming community. However, suppose you want to allow players to connect without an account. In that case, you can set your server to offline mode, which relaxes this requirement, providing more flexibility in your server's access policies.
How to Disable User Verification on a Factorio Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Under the Config Files tab, choose Server Config.
4. Navigate to the require_user_verification line.
5. Next to the "require_user_verification" line, change the value to false .
6. Under the "visibility" line, change the value for public to false .
7. Press the Save Content button.
8. Start the server.
