Summary
DayZ servers feature many different customizable settings that change various gameplay aspects. One popular modification is changing how long it takes one full day to pass in-game. By default, a day in DayZ lasts two hours, split evenly between day and night. This can be further customized by not only changing the overall length but changing the speed of nights as well. This can be very helpful for newer players who may not be ready for the much more challenging experience night-time brings in DayZ.
How to Change the Time Acceleration on a DayZ Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. Navigate to the Time Multiplier section.
5. This number will multiply the speed of one full 24-hour day, for example, a value of 1 would make a day pass in real-time, while a value of 24 would make a day pass in 1 hour.
6. The Night Multiplier section is an additional modifier to speed up or slow down nights in the game. This value is multiplied by the Time Multiplier. 
| Note | Setting the Night Multiplier to 2 would make night-time twice as fast while maintaining the overall day length specified by the Time Multiplier. |
7. Start the server for the changes to go into effect.
