How to reset the world on a Project Zomboid server

Project Zomboid worlds can vary from either the default handmade maps or modded maps made by the community. Worlds can also be highly configured by editing the server config files. Following the method used in this tutorial, the server world can also be reset, allowing for a fresh start while maintaining any customizations made to the server.

How to Reset the World on a Project Zomboid Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Files tab.


4. Find the following directory: /home/container/.cache/Saves/Multiplayer .


5. First, back up the old world for safekeeping by Right-Clicking the world and choosing Archive.


6. Right-Click the archive, and choose Download.


7. After the backup, select the old world and press Delete.


8. Confirm by pressing Delete.


9. Start the server. A new world will be generated while retaining any config files.
