Summary
Barotrauma is a unique and challenging game where players must explore dangerous depths by manning a giant submarine. There are many ways for characters to die in Barotrauma, and by default, they will respawn inside a distant shuttle once every five minutes. One of the popular ways to reduce the game's difficulty is to reduce the respawn time so players can arrive back at the sub much sooner. In addition, various Console Commands are available that can also help reduce the difficulty when needed.

How to Change the Respawn Settings on a Barotrauma Server
1. Join the server as an Admin.
2. Open the Respawn Settings menu.
3. Set the desired Respawn mode.
4. Adjust any Respawn Settings for the mode if allowed.
5. To disable typical respawns, set the mode to Permadeath.
6. Permadeath allows players to select Bot Takeover or Ironman options, allowing dead players to take control of a bot or only have one chance.
