Summary
DayZ has numerous available vehicle types, ranging from large military transport trucks to fast, smaller vehicles commonly found around the map inside cities and towns. To acquire a car, players must find one in the world and repair it using the required tools. This process can be lengthy, but the payoff for acquiring a vehicle is relatively high, making traversing during Night Time much easier. However, players should always be cautious, as other players will hear the cars from far distances.
DayZ Vehicle Guide
Vehicles are by far the best method of transportation in DayZ, allowing players to traverse the map much more quickly than on foot. Vehicles around the map are typically in disrepair, with each damaged part needing specific tools to fix them. Generally speaking, players will need a Tire Repair Kit for damaged Wheels, a Blowtorch for damaged Engines, Doors, Trunks, Hoods, and Radiators, and an Electrical Repair Kit for damaged Batteries.
