Summary
Path of Titans servers are a great way to build a community of like-minded dinosaurs and experience all the game offers. Server owners can control who has access and can play on the server by adding a password. This allows groups of friends to play together without joining a public server and supports public servers that wish to remain more selective over who can Join the Server. Passwords are a less secure method than whitelisting, but they are still effective at keeping most players from joining.
How to Add a Password to a Path of Titans Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/PathOfTitans/Saved/Config/LinuxServer
| Note | The server needs to be started once to generate the files above. |
5. Open the Game.ini file.
6. In a new line, paste the following: [/Script/PathOfTitans.IGameSession] .
7. Underneath the pasted line, enter ServerPassword=PasswordHere and replace the text with a secure password.
8. Once finished editing, choose Save Content.
9. Start the server.
10. Players will now be prompted for a password when joining.
