Summary
V Rising has a large variety of weapon types, some of which are locked behind progression. Every weapon has an upgraded version called 'merciless', which simply upgrades their stats and gear level. Weapons are able to be upgraded even further by finding their shattered version. These versions are not as powerful as Legendary Weapons. However, they do come with randomly rolled buffs for abilities. These weapons can be found in various places, such as roaming carriages, or purchased from merchants in the Ruins of Mortium.
How to Reforge Shattered Weapons in V Rising
1. Shattered weapons are rare weapons that modify abilities; they can be found in carriages or from merchants in the Ruins of Mortium.
2. To reforge shattered weapons, the Ancestral Forge crafting station must be acquired from Octavian the Militia Captain.
3. Octavian is located at the Bastion of Dunley within the Dunley Farmlands.
4. After defeating Octavian, build the Ancestral Forge crafting station.

5. Place any Shattered Weapon inside of the forge. Reforging will also require a Merciless Iron version of the weapon.
6. The weapons will be crafted with Random Bonus Attributes and will display their power level.
7. Reforged weapons can be upgraded by placing them back in the Ancestral Forge.
