Conan Exiles has introduced player-made taverns that offer exclusive items for sale and attract many different NPCs. These taverns do not require any upkeep and are a fantastic way to recruit new thralls and embark on quests for essential NPCs. Building a tavern in Conan Exiles requires the player to be level twenty and also requires them to clear the purge mechanic from the clan coffer. Purges can be extremely difficult, so gear up or appropriately set the Server Difficulty to tackle this challenge.
How to Build a Tavern in Conan Exiles
1. From the Knowledge menu, research Tavern Bar to unlock the required recipes.
2. Locate the recipe through the Building Hammer, which can be found under Decorations > Countertops and Bars.
3. Place the bar in a preferred location.
4. With the bar placed, it will need a Barkeep NPC to function.
5. Barkeep NPCs can be found inside Purge Camps. To start a purge, use the Proclaim Wealth function from the Clan Coffer.
6. After clearing the purge, rescue the NPCs from their cages. The barkeep NPC is not guaranteed to spawn every time.
7. Place the barkeep behind the counter to access their trade menu and attract notable NPCs to interact with.
