How unlock farming in Enshrouded

Summary
Enshrouded bases can be elaborate and expansive, as players can build unique creations for themselves and others. In addition, players can add Crafting NPCs to their base by rescuing them from the ancient vaults. These NPCs serve as important quest-givers and occupy additional shelters inside player bases. The Farmer NPC is a vital craftsperson that allows players to build seedbeds and farm soil, which are required to obtain seeds and build farms. Farming is a great way to stock up on Ingredients for Food Buffs.

Note The Farmer is one of many crafting NPCs in Enshrouded. Check out the guide here for a complete list of NPCs and their locations.

How to Unlock Farming in Enshrouded
1. The Farmer must first be rescued from their ancient vault in the Springlands to unlock the required recipes.

2. Summon Emily Fray the Farmer at any base using the Summoning Staff.

3. Talk to Emily and open the Crafting menu. Note that the survivor must be Sheltered for them to function.

4. Craft Farm Soil by using some Dirt and Bonemeal.

5. Craft the Seedbed using Wood Logs, Metal Scraps, and Farm Soil.

6. Put the seedbed down and craft any desired plants into seeds.

7. Next, equip the Building Hammer and select Farm Soil as the material by using Ctrl+Scroll Wheel.

8. For the shape of the block, hold Alt and select Terrain. We recommend using the Sixth option for the field.

9. Place the farm soil terrain as desired, leaving plenty of room for crops.

10. Place seeds crafted from the Seedbed onto the field by selecting them on the toolbar.
