V Rising 1.1 Update In March 27, Stunlock Studios announced the official release date for the 1.1 Update, and it's going to be on April 28, 2025. This new major patch is also going to be named "Invaders of Oakveil," and you can watch the trailer to it below:

New Content & Features

Stunlock Studios has released three Dev Updates (Dev Update 27, Dev Update 28, and Dev Update 29) focusing on the 1.1 Update at the time of writing. These updates highlight various additions, changes, and improvements coming to the V Rising 1.1 Update, including the following:

Random Drops & the Fusion Forge

Random drops aren't a particularly new feature in V Rising. However, the 1.1 Update expands upon it, allowing the game to vary loot from mobs and chests. Although high-level enemies would randomly drop legendary weapons and spell jewels before this major patch, it led to frustration among vampires since it often took a significant amount of time and effort to get what they wanted. Enter the new Fusion Forge, a crafting station that allows players to combine different items to form gear. The new item will acquire certain traits from the two materials used, creating the perfect piece of gear with the right stats.

Castle Treasury

Managing resources from your castle becomes easier in the Invaders of Oakveil update and the new castle treasury. Here, you can store all your wordless possessions without the need to sacrifice precious space for other functional areas in your castle. Workstations can also pull ingredients from the containers in the treasury, reducing the time needed to collect materials from them.

Castle Stable

Let your trusty steed have a place to call their own in your castle with the new stable. This station also allows you to train the animal, unlocking new riding techniques.

Updated Weapon Visuals

Certain endgame weapons will have updated looks at the launch of the V Rising 1.1 Update. These weapons include the Endbrings, Hand of Winter, and Wings of the Fallen Blood Slashers.

Risk-Free PVP

V Rising players have been looking for a consequence-free way to enjoy PvP combat. However, experimenting with weapons and spell loadouts can be tricky without a controlled environment. So, players will soon be able to enjoy risk-free PvP in the Version 1.1 Update in two new upcoming features. The first new PvP-focused feature is the Duel system, wherein one vampire can initiate a challenge to another. The duel ends when one vampire’s health reaches zero. However, both players have their health reset to the point before the duel began. The other feature is the Arena, wherein players can build inside their bases. Also called the Arena Station, this new structure allows players to set boundaries in a playable area where PvP combat is allowed. Additionally, castle owners can set parameters for the contest. Like dueling, the arena match will be over when all other combatants apart from the winning team’s health reaches zero.

New Area

V Rising 1.1 will also expand Vardoran, introducing a new region with its own faction and immersive theme. However, the developer is keeping this new group and area theme inside closed doors for now. Nonetheless, the new location is going to be called the Oakveil Woodlands located north of Silverlight, and players should also find new and formidable V Blood Carriers in this realm.

New Enemies

Various enemies call their Oakveil Woodlands their home. One of the new V Blood Carriers V Rising vampires will encounter is Megara, the Serpent Queen, along with her raiders, the Venom Blades. Other notable enemies include Sir Erwin, the Gallant Cavalier, and Gaius, the Cursed Champion.

Cap Ability Stats

Soon, this major patch will introduce a cap on all ability statistics, preventing dominance by one stat. Doing so prevents investment in multiple attributes, allowing players to carefully choose their build options. However, it also allows vampires to enhance secondary stats while maintaining the main stat’s effectiveness for better gameplay.

Reworked Blood, Items, & Spell Tree Bonuses

Stat bonuses at the maximum level will become streamlined for easy tracking and planning. This part of the update includes reworks to various gear, potions, blood, and spell tree bonuses for efficient stat capping.

Blood Stats

Blood will soon influence stats, and it does so in a significant manner. As a V Rising vampire, a 100% efficiency Blood Type is vital for optimal stat management, and it also allows broader build strategies. With the 1.1 Update, blood types receive an overhaul, enhancing their combat applications. Additionally, rare blood types will be easier to obtain than before, promoting the capture of certain enemies like mutant Spitters for their Mutant Blood. Below are the general themes of the blood type overhaul in Version 1.1, as mentioned in the Dev Update 28:
  • Worker Blood: Increase resource yield, faster resource mining, higher mount speed, and a chance to instantly destroy a resource node when you strike it.
  • Creature Blood: Increased health, health regeneration, movement speed, healing received, resistances, and a heal and temporary attack speed boost on Vampire bite.
  • Warrior: All about weapons and weapon skills, largely focused on giving benefits around weapons and skill cooldowns from your weapons.
  • Rogue: Much like before, it is focused on improving movement speed, physical critical strike chance, and physical critical strike damage.
  • Brute: This blood type is still focused on healing and some light physical power like before, but it’s now acquired warrior’s ability to parry, making it the tankier up-close-and-personal blood type.
  • Scholar: Now one of a handful of spell-focused blood types, Scholar maintains its ability to free-cast spells occasionally but is focused on defensive spell power. In addition, it also resets your spell cooldowns when you use your ultimate ability.
  • Draculin: Another spell-focused blood type, this one more set on the offensive aspects of spellcasting. It has a small chance of awarding free casts, but it focuses more on spell critical hits and leech.
  • Mutant: The summoner’s blood! This now increases spell power, summoned minion damage, and the recovery rate of your ultimate ability. It also spawns mutant rats when you cast your ultimate. For all the vampires who dreamed of the ability to control mutant rats, this one is for you.
There's also the new Corrupted blood type that comes with the 1.1 Update. However, information about this new blood type is currently scarce, but its effects should provide vampires with unique combat advantages.

Reworked Gear Sets

Gear sets will maintain their core functions in the V Rising 1.1 Update. However, these pieces of equipment will soon offer fluid, craftable item sources for enhanced control. Various changes to gear sets will soon take place, including new buff potions called “Elixirs” and streamlined equipment bonuses.

Spell Passives Working with Stats

Spell passives will soon work with stats as the former enhances the latter. Using spell passives unlocks bonuses, increasing build engagement through active choice. Also, players who gain more spell points can unlock additional slots for more passive abilities.

New Weapons

Find more ways to hack, slash, and maim enemies in V Rising in the 1.1 Update and its new weapon classes. Soon, vampires can equip Claws, Throwing Daggers, and the Twinblade. You can find each weapon’s default skills below:
Claws
  • Primary Attack: Perform a combo of melee attacks dealing 40%/40%/50% physical damage. The third attack inflicts Puncture stacking up to 3 times. Trigger a rupture, dealing 75% damage to the target and 50% damage to nearby enemies upon reaching maximum stacks.
  • Lunge: Vault towards the cursor and cleave enemies, dealing 100% physical damage and inflicting Puncture.
  • Skewering Leap: Leap to target location, dealing 100% physical damage, inflicting Puncture and a 1-second incapacitate. You bounce off enemies toward your aim direction. Missing an enemy will cause you to stick to the ground for a short time.
Throwing Daggers
  • Throw Dagger: Throw up to 4 daggers, each dealing 40% physical damage. Hitting an enemy or a solid object causes the dagger to stick to the ground. Gain one dagger stack every 1 second.
  • Rain of Daggers: Leap into the air and throw 4 daggers in front of you, each dagger dealing 40% physical damage and inflicting a 2-second fading snare. Daggers remain on the ground for 8 seconds.
  • Release Daggers: Inflict a 1.5-second fading snare and release all nearby daggers that are stuck in the ground. Released daggers return to you, piercing enemies and dealing 40% physical damage. Each dagger that returns grants one dagger stack and reduces the cooldown of Rain of Daggers by 0.2 seconds.
The Twinblade
  • Primary Attack: Perform a combo of melee double attacks dealing 60%/60%/80% physical damage.
  • Javelin: Toss your weapon toward the target location, dealing 125% physical damage and inflicting a 1.5-second fading snare in an area. Recall your weapon after 2 seconds, causing it to pierce. Pull and deal 80% physical damage to enemies in its path. Recast the ability to dash towards your weapon. This action will cancel the recall.
  • Sweeping Strike: Lunge forward and swing your twinblades, dealing 100% physical damage in a line and launching enemies into the air and to the opposite side of you.

Weapon Coatings

Vampires will soon gain the upper hand in intense battles, especially when battling the Vampire Lord, Dracula, with the new weapon coating system. These items are special consumables that imbue weapons with special properties. Currently, two weapon coatings have been announced, and they are the following:
  • Storm Coating: Imbue your equipped weapon with crackling thunder. Your next primary attack deals 50% bonus magic damage and triggers Chain Lightning. The on-hit effect recharges every 15 seconds, and the imbue lasts for 60 minutes. This effect persists through death.
  • Blood Coating: Imbue your equipped weapon with the essence of blood. Your next primary attack inflicts Leech and Vampiric Curse, dealing 75% magic damage and, after 2 seconds, spawning a Blood Orb. The on-hit effect recharges every 15 seconds, and the imbue lasts for 60 minutes. This effect persists through death.
