Wings in Terraria can give your character flight, allowing you to reach places like the Space biome, and you can also use them to be more mobile across your journeys (especially helpful in many of the game's dangerous boss fights!) But what are all of the wings you can get in the game, and what are their stats? Here, we cover all of the sets of wings in Terraria, their stats, crafting recipes, and how to get them!

Most wings in Terraria need players to craft them. Some wings need players to be lucky when opening treasure bags. You can also have a pair of wings as a beginner, provided you choose the easiest difficulty in the game. Besides the beginner-friendly pair of wings, you can only get wings in Hardmode. Also, many of the wings have a similar function, which is to give your character extra jump height. But some wings have unique benefits. So, without further ado, here are all the wings you can get in Terraria:

Angel/Demon Wings

How to Get

These wings are craftable using the following crafting recipe:

• 10x Feather
• 20x Soul of Flight
• 15x Soul of Light

Stats

• Flight time: 1.67 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 53 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 32 mph

Bat Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted using the following crafting recipe:

• 1x Broken Bat Wing
• 20x Soul of Flight

• Flight time: 2.67 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 81 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 38 mph

Bee Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted using the following crafting recipe:

• 1x Tattered Bee Wing

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted using the following crafting recipe:

Betsy’s Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings drops from Betsy, the optional boss from the Old One’s Army event - though it is a fairly low chance.

• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 36 mph
• Special effect: Press the “Down” and “Jump” keys to hover horizontally. Improved hovering speed.

Bone Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted with the following crafting recipe:

• 1x Bone Feather
• 20x Soul of Flight

Butterfly Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted with the following crafting recipe:

• 1x Butterfly Dust
• 20x Soul of Flight

• Flight time: 2.67 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 81 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 38 mph

Celestial Starboard

How to Get

This wing-type accessory is only obtainable by defeating Terraria’s final boss, Moon Lord, in Expert Mode.

Stats

• Flight time: 3 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 201 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 41 mph
• Special effect: Ascends slowly but can ascend faster when pressing the “Up” key. Press the “Down” and “Jump” keys to hover horizontally.

Empress Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings drops from the optional Hardmode boss Empress of Light - though it is a fairly low chance.

• Flight time: 2.5 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 119 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 36 mph
• Special effect: Press the “Up” key for a faster-than-normal ascent

Fairy Wings

How to Get

You can craft these wings with the following crafting recipe:

• 99x Pixie Dust
• 20x Soul of Flight

Stats

• Flight time: 2.17 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 67 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 32 mph

Festive Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings is only obtainable by killing the Everscream during the Frost Moon event. It has an even lower chance of dropping than the Mothron Wings.

Fin Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings is only obtainable as a quest reward from the Angler NPC. This quest has a 1.43% chance of activating after every 10th quest - so don't miss it!

• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 34 mph

Fishron Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings drops from the optional Hardmode boss Duke Fishron.

Stats

• Flight time: 2.5 seconds
• Maximum height (per button press): 119 tiles
• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 36 mph
• Special effect: Ignores movement penalty when moving in liquids

Flame Wings

How to Get

This pair of wings can be crafted utilizing the following crafting recipe:

• 1x Fire Feather
• 20x Soul of Flight

• Maximum horizontal flight speed: 38 mph

Fledgling Wings

How to Get

The Fledgling Wings are the only pair of obtainable wings that players can get outside of Hardmode. Start a character in Journey Mode, and these wings will immediately be available in your inventory. Otherwise, you can find these wings as a random item inside Skyware Chests, and Azure and Sky Crates.

This pair of wings is craftable using the following crafting recipe:

Harpy Wings

These sets of wings are only obtainable by opening a Hardmode Treasure Bag. It’s important to note that the Queen Slime’s Treasure Bag doesn’t contain these items.

This pair of wings is only obtainable by killing the Hardmode enemy Mothron. It also has a fairly low chance of dropping - so luck must be on your side.
