Some accessories in Terraria can help increase a character’s survivability when fighting certain enemies. One notable example is the Bezoar, which players can get as early as pre-Hardmode. So, keep reading as we guide you into getting the Bezoar in Terraria.

What is the Bezoar in Terraria?

Terraria Bezoar Introduced in version 1.2, equipping the Bezoar can be a great choice when dealing with certain enemies, especially the Queen Bee. It only has one effect, which grants the wearer immunity to poison. It’s important to mention that the Bezoar doesn’t prevent the wearer from receiving the Venom debuff. While poison only affects the character’s health by depleting it over time, Venom also prevents health regeneration accompanied by damage over time.

How to Get the Bezoar

The Bezoar only drops from specific enemies, namely the Hornet, Moss Hornet (as of version 1.2.0.3), and Toxic Sludge. This accessory has a low chance of dropping from those enemies. Players may want to travel to another world seed with a higher difficulty setting. Doing so will increase this item’s drop rate, albeit only slightly. Additionally, some players, especially new players, may want to farm for the Bezoar in pre-Hardmode. Exploring the Hardmode version of the Jungle biome can be fairly challenging. Remember, this Hardmode biome has many aggressive enemies that can deal significant damage, particularly to players who aren't wearing sufficient armor.

Bezoar Crafting Recipes

Throw the Bezoar into the Shimmer to transmute it into the Adhesive Bandage. While the Bezoar grants immunity to poison, equipping the Adhesive Bandage prevents bleeding. Players can also use 1x Bezoar and 1x Adhesive Bandage at the Tinkerer’s Workshop to make the Medicated Bandage. This accessory combines the effects of the two accessories into one item. Additionally, the Medicated Bandage is an ingredient to craft the Ankh Charm, which is one of the materials for the Ankh Shield.
