Update 1.6 has brought Stardew Valley players plenty of new items to collect, including one from another game – Terraria. This item is none other than the Meowmere, and players can get this secret weapon after going through specific steps. So, continue reading to learn how to get the Meowmere in Stardew Valley.

How to Get the Meowmere in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Meowmere Players must go through different steps before getting the Meowmere in Stardew Valley. Although the procedure is relatively straightforward, you must depend on luck and RNG to get this secret weapon.

Step #1: Find an Ancient Doll

Stardew Valley Meowmere Locations The first, and arguably the most difficult, step to get the Meowmere in Stardew Valley is to find an Ancient Doll. Players must dig artifact spots at the mountain, bus stop, Pelican Town, or Cindersap Forest. Note that these artifact spots are those three wriggling worm-like beings that pop out of the ground. These locations are fairly easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled when exploring those mentioned locations. Alternatively, you can fish for treasure at those places. However, the chances of acquiring an Ancient Doll from a fished treasure box are smaller than foraging artifact spots.

Step #2: Trade the Ancient Doll for a Faraway Stone

Stardew Valley 100 Floor Mines Once found, travel to the 100th floor of the Mines. Here, you'll find a small cavern with a lava pool. Throw the Ancient Doll in the lava pool, and a bony wyrm should appear. Thankfully, you don’t have to fight this creature. Instead, it’ll give you the Faraway Stone in exchange for the Ancient Doll. Note: Read our Stardew Valley Mine Guide to learn how to reach this dungeon’s deepest depths.

Step #3: Travel to the Wizard’s Tower

Stardew Valley Wizard's Tower Next, go to the Wizard's Tower in the westernmost region of the Cindersap Forest. Note that this spellcaster’s home is only open between 6 AM to 11 PM. Additionally, you can only access the Wizard’s Tower if you receive his invitation to visit. Otherwise, the residence is inaccessible until you get that message. Once inside, walk to the northernmost part of the house to find a ladder. Go down the ladder to reach the basement. While in the basement, hold the Faraway Stone and interact with the tree branches at the right side of the room. If successful, a portal opens, and a cat will give you the Meowmere.

Meowmere Stats

Despite the Meowmere being a secret weapon in Stardew Valley, it’s not the most powerful sword in the game. Some endgame weapons, like the Galaxy Sword and Infinity Blade, still significantly overpower the Meowmere. Nonetheless, here are the stats for this Stardew Valley secret sword:
  • Damage: 20 – 20
  • Perks: +4 Speed and +2 Weight
