Stardew Valley Linus' Basket Quest Guide: Locations, Schedule, & Rewards

Posted on by justin
Stardew Valley is sprawling with quests for players to take on to learn about the world around them and unlock some useful items along the way. One notable quest is the search for Linus’ Basket in Stardew Valley, and we’re here to help you find and return this missing item.

Where is Linus’ Basket in Stardew Valley?

Stardew Valley Linus Basket Location Remember, players will trigger the Stardew Valley Linus Basket Quest on Fall 8 of the first year regardless of their Friendship Level with the NPC. Once triggered, travel to the bus stop, but don't get on it. Instead, walk one screen to the west and follow the paved road. You’ll eventually reach the Backwoods. Here, check the two bushes near the tunnel to find Linus’ Basket. Once found, return the basket to the NPC to receive your reward. Note that the color of Linus' Basket can make it tough to see, especially with the orange-brownish hue brought by the fall season.

Linus' Basket Quest Rewards

Stardew Valley Linus Rewards Returning Linus’ Basket in Stardew Valley increases his Friendship Level with you by one heart piece. Although Linus isn’t one of the NPCs you can marry, increasing your Friendship Level with him to four hearts rewards you with the Wild Bait recipe. As its name implies, Wild Bait is a type of bait that gives the chance to catch two fish from a single cast. Craft 5x Wild Bait by hand using 10x Fiber, 5x Slime, and 5x Bug Meat.
