Caviar is an artisan good in Stardew Valley with various uses. However, players must prepare certain equipment before collecting this item. So, continue reading as we guide you on obtaining Caviar in Stardew Valley.
How to Get Caviar in Stardew Valley
First, you must capture a Sturgeon before you can gather Caviar in Stardew Valley. Catch this fish in the mountain lake from 6 AM to 7 PM during the summer and winter. Alternatively, Krobus’ shop in the sewers may sell Sturgeon on Wednesdays for 200 gold pieces. The Traveling Cart may sell this fish for 600 to 1,000 gold pieces. Next, you must purchase a Fish Pond (introduced in version 1.4) from Robin’s Carpenter Shop. Remember, your farm must have a free 5x5-tile space for this structure. Also, you must provide Robin with the following materials:- 200x Stone
- 5x Seaweed
- 5x Green Algae
- 50x Wood
- 40x Stone
- 8x Coal
Harvesting Caviar
After acquiring the prerequisites, place the caught Sturgeon in the Fish Pond. Then, you must fulfill the fish’s request before it can start producing Roe. Here are the possible requests based on the number of Sturgeons in the fish pond:- 1: Diamond
- 3: 1x Jar of Jelly, 2x Maple Syrup Jars, or 3x Jar of Pickles
- 5: 3x Omni Geodes
- 7: 1x Nautilus Shell
Uses for Caviar in Stardew Valley
Now that you can harvest Caviar consistently, you can give this item to different Pelican Town villagers. In particular, Abigail, Haley, Maru, and other NPCs like receiving Caviar as a present. But don’t give it to Jas, Sebastian, or Vincent, as these NPCs hate it. On the other hand, you can use Caviar to complete The Missing Bundle in the Abandoned JojaMart. Completing this bundle unlocks the Movie Theater. You can also use Caviar as a spool in the Sewing Machine to make the Fashion Hat vanity item.Get Started with a
