Satisfactory Nobelisk Guide: Types, How to Detonate, & More

The Nobelisk in Satisfactory serves as an essential tool for Pioneers to modify surroundings and overcome certain topographic obstacles. This versatile explosive comes in different types, which we’ll cover in this guide, along with how to detonate a Nobelisk and other important details.

Nobelisk Types in Satisfactory

As of Version 1.0, five types of Nobelisk exist in Satisfactory: Standard, Cluster, Gas, Nuke, and Pulse. Each Nobelisk model has its unique properties and applications. For instance, one type of Nobelisk produces a deadly gas cloud while another generates a massive explosion.

Standard Nobelisk

The most basic form of Nobelisk in Satisfactory, the standard model offers a regular blast meant for clearing nearby debris. Its explosion can help remove elements like rocks, trees, and other obstructions. Doing so helps a Pioneer expand their factory to a nearby biome.

Cluster Nobelisk

The Cluster Nobelisk is the stronger version of the Standard Nobelisk in Satisfactory. Generally, its primary use is still to help a Pioneer clear rocks, trees, and other obstacles. However, the Cluster Nobelisk can clear larger areas, thanks to its ability to create smaller explosions after its initial blast.

Unlike the Cluster and Standard Nobelisks, the Gas Nobelisk in Satisfactory doesn't create an explosion. Instead, it releases a cloud of toxic gas, making it useful for dealing with enemies.

Nuke Nobelisk

The Nuke Nobelisk creates the largest explosion out of all the Nobelisk types. A Pioneer can use it to destroy boulders, forests, and even factories with this bomb’s blast. So, ensure that you use a Nuke Nobelisk far from your factory to prevent its accidental destruction. Additionally, the blast creates a radiation field, which is similar to a Nuclear Waste dumpsite.

The Pulse Nobelisk is a versatile explosive in Satisfactory. This explosive generates a powerful shockwave when used. Doing so can help knock enemies back or destroy unwanted structures.

How to Detonate a Nobelisk in Satisfactory

A Nobelisk isn’t like an HE Grenade wherein you pull the pin, throw the explosive, and it’ll explode in a few seconds. On the other hand, detonating a Nobelisk requires the use of a Nobelisk Detonator. Thankfully, unlocking the Standard Nobelisk crafting recipe also unlocks the recipe for the Nobelisk Detonator. Once unlocked, craft a Nobelisk Detonator using 1x Object Scanner, 10x Steel Beam, and 50x Cable at the Equipment Workshop. Then, equip the Nobelisk Detonator, which should allow you to choose a type of Nobelisk as the ammo. Next, throw the Nobelisk at your preferred location and activate the detonator to create the explosion.
