The wipe schedule of Rust differs for the game’s console and PC versions. Rust for game consoles have their servers wiped every last Thursday of the month. Why do Rust Servers Wipe?

Rust's developers wipe the game’s servers to maintain its freshness, allowing all players to start from scratch once a month also removes balancing issues, such as item hoarding. After a wipe, all player creations, including those built on structures like the Tugboat, disappear. Items in backpacks and storage containers also disappear (say goodbye to that Guitar, for now). However, blueprints generally remain unless the devs remove them to keep the game’s stability. Additionally, new players can have fun playing Rust, seeing as everyone, including experienced players, must start fresh after a server wipe. So, wiping can limit power creep.
