Energy Crystals Farming Guide: Events & Best Locations

The primary way to acquire Energy Crystals is by defeating enemies. There's a wide variety of foes to vanquish, but only a select number of them will drop Energy Crystals. Of course, you can also find Energy Crystals in chests or as a reward from select quests. However, enemy drops are the best way to find these valuable minerals.

Events

One of the best ways to find a larger number of enemies that drop Energy Crystals is to participate in events. Some events, such as the Araktual Invasion, can even have Energy Crystals even when you're lower than level 25! Here is a list of the specific enemies you need to target in specific events to get the best chance to see drops:

• Baby Araktula: Found in Araktula Invasion Event
• Bamboo Araktula: Found in Araktula Invasion Event
• Striped Araktula: Found in Araktula Invasion Event
• Thunderstorm Crystal: Found in Electro Thunder Storm Event
• Rainstorm Crystal: Found in Tropical Rain Storm Event
• Sandstorm Crystal: Found in Sand Storm Event
• Snowstorm Crystal: Found in Snow Storm Event

Tomb of Ch'Thiris

You can only access the Tomb of Ch'Thiris when you use a C'Thiris Tesseract. Coincidentally, you need a single Energy Crystal and ten Stone Blocks to craft a C'Thiris Tesseract. So, you need to make sure you find an Energy Crystal before you can head into the tomb. Keep in mind that the tomb has higher level enemies. We recommend adventuring inside when you're at least level 24. Once you use a Tomb of Ch'Thiris, you can head to the Tomb of Ch'Thiris and destroy monsters, tombstones, and coffins. All of these have the potential to give you the craftables you're looking for. You'll have a much greater chance of finding Energy Crystals by running through this island event than almost any other method in Portal Knights, so it's a great one to do over and over. Just remember to keep at least a single Energy Crystal on your person so that you can continue to revisit the island!

Summoned Bosses

You can also receive Energy Crystals by defeating large, summoned bosses. Farming bosses might not be the most efficient method, as their drops are random. However, it's good to know which bosses have the potential to help your search. Here is each boss you can summon that has a chance of dropping Energy Crystals:

• All Watcher: This boss is summoned by the All-Watcher Amulet of Invocation and must be level 30 or higher to potentially drop Energy Crystals.
• Knight Hunter: This boss is summoned by the Knight Hunter Amulet of Invocation and must be level 25 or higher to potentially drop Energy Crystals.
• Slime Queen: This boss is summoned by the Slime Queen Amulet of Invocation and must be level 14 or higher to potentially drop Energy Crystals.
