Palworld offers its Pal trainers various opportunities to construct personalized bases within the game’s world. Nonetheless, it’s important to consider different elements to ensure each base’s efficiency and productivity. So, here’s our Palworld Base Building Guide to help you select the best locations and work Pals.

Best Base Locations in Palworld (Updated)

Previously, we published a post highlighting the best base locations in Palworld for various purposes, including farming and mining. Thanks to the release of the Sakurajima Update, Pal trainers now have access to additional location options for building a base in Palworld and more content to build around. These areas include the following:

Plateau of Beginnings: 264, -548

These coordinates lead you to the southern coast of the Plateau of Beginnings. Build a base here, and you’ll get immediate access to various mining nodes, especially for Paldium Fragments. That way, you won't run out of Pal Spheres, especially in the game's early stages. As a bonus, there’s a dungeon nearby to help you farm for other materials.

Small Settlement: 8, -528

If you’re hungry for Ore and Wood, particularly during early-game, consider this location for your next base in Palworld. This location is also reasonably easy to reach since a fast travel point is nearby. Then, travel slightly southwest after spawning at the fast travel point to reach this area.

Cinnamoth Forest: -77, -310

Once you reach mid-game, consider traveling to Cinnamoth Forest, particularly to its southern region. Build a base at this location to take advantage of its bountiful Ore nodes. Additionally, you can harvest Sulfur nearby, which is an essential material for crafting Gunpowder for the game’s firearms.

Sealed Realm of the Guardian: 180, -39

Eventually, you may run out of Ore. At this time, consider farming for Coal to help advance the Technology Tree. This location near the Sealed Realm of the Guardian is the ideal spot for farming that material.

Sakurajima Island: -646, 270

Thankfully, the release of the Sakurajima Island update brought players a prime location to farm for Crude Oil. Remember, you need significant quantities of this resource to craft various essential items, particularly Flamethrower Fuel, Missile Ammo, and Frag Grenade Mk2.

Best Work Pals

We also posted about the best Pals for work in Palworld a while back. That list contained various Pals that are the best at specific tasks, such as transporting, kindling, and generating electricity. Additional Pals have been introduced in the game through the Sakurajima Update. So, here’s an updated list of the best Work Pals in Palworld, which contains Pals with Level 3 or 4 work traits:

Reddit user Zathura2 created a castle-like structure in Palworld, complete with arched walls and angled rooflines. The user meticulously crafted this in-game architectural marvel that the base's massiveness also promotes optimal defenses against raiders. The entire base showcases both strength and protection, making it a fortress for everyone, including the work Pals inside.

Fort Husky

Reddit user PbPunk007 created a giant Pal-inspired base called Fort Husky, designed to appear intimidating to enemies. Although it lacks practicality, the base is charming and unique. Fort Husky serves as inspiration for players to get creative with their base designs in Palworld. As the game's development progresses, more user-friendly tools may become available to enhance creativity. PbPunk007 demonstrates that functional bases can also be fun and imaginative.

From Ruins to Riches

Sometimes Pal trainers don't need to build a base from scratch, which is what Reddit user stonkes_go_up did. In particular, the user took advantage of one of the in-game ruins and made it into a bustling town. This base even serves as a hub for farming, breeding, and housing for work Pals and other NPCs.
