Minecraft Pale Garden Biome: Overview, Mobs, & Blocks

Posted on by amber
In a garden as pale as night, a new monster crawls forth to give fright. Today, we explore the creaking sound coming our way in the Minecraft pale garden biome released today.

Minecraft Pale Garden Biome Overview

Minecraft Resin Screenshot The pale garden is a variant of the dark forest biome where no music plays, no mobs spawn, and the landscape is a monochrome grey. Yet, as one walks through its pale mosses and colorless grass, an eerie creaking always seems to be just a few steps away. Those searching for the pale garden biome will find it most commonly borders biomes of high humidity, such as dark forests, birch forests, and jungles.

Minecraft Creaking Mob Screenshot Hidden among the trees of every pale garden are blocks called creaking hearts, which summon forth one creaking each as soon as it becomes dark. The creaking can not travel beyond 32 blocks from its creaking heart, and it is immortal until the creaking heart is gone. However, this terrifying entity is not without its weaknesses either. A creaking can not move when a player is looking at it, and striking a creaking causes a line of particles to appear, leading the way to its creaking heart. Each strike against the creaking also causes resin to generate on the pale oak logs surrounding where the creaking heart hides, making it easier to spot and find. Once the creaking heart has been found, players can destroy it with an axe, rewarding one to three resin clumps, or take the creaking heart for themselves through the use of an axe enchanted with silk touch.

The pale garden biome adds an abundance of new blocks and items, which we have listed above. A few of the highlights are the creaking heart, resin, and eyeblossom. The creaking heart is most definitely the star item of the update and can be crafted with two pale oak logs and a block of resin. A crafted or gathered creaking heart can then be placed between two pale oak logs to activate it and, in turn, spawn the creaking with no biome restrictions. As for resin, it is a resource exclusive to creaking hearts and is most easily obtained by repeatedly striking a frozen creaking while gathering the resin as it appears on the pale oak logs surrounding the creaking heart. Resin can be crafted into blocks of resin or smelted into resin bricks to craft the full resin brick block set. Finally, eyeblossoms are a new flower that can appear in two separate states. During the day, they are closed, and at night, they glow with a watchful eye. These two states are considered separate items and can even cause differing effects when used as an ingredient in suspicious stew.
