Minecraft Movie Event Cape LIVE: How to Earn & Quest Guide

Posted on by amber
A third Minecraft Movie cape is now available, but earning this one will be a bit more difficult than watching a streamer for three minutes’ time. So, today, we explore the Minecraft Movie event cape and how to get it before it is gone.

What is The Minecraft Movie Event Server?

In celebration of the Minecraft Movie’s upcoming release, Mojang has released a Minecraft Movie event server that is available until April 7, 2025. While it remains online, fans can explore the villager village from the movie, meet blocky versions of the cast members, and participate in minigames similar to events from the film. But, most importantly, an exclusive Minecraft Movie event cape can be earned too.

How to Get the Minecraft Movie Event Cape

Minecraft Movie Event Server Quest Log Screenshot To get the Minecraft Movie event cape, six quests must be completed before the server shuts down. None of the quests or minigames are overly hard, but they are time-gated. So, for those looking to get everything done in one sitting, we would recommend April 4, 2025, as that will be the day the final quest unlocks, allowing everything to be done at once. The Minecraft Movie event server can be accessed from inside the Bedrock Edition client via the Minecraft Movie event server prompt on the left side of the screen. Once inside the server, all three minigames can be accessed immediately using the map item found on your hot bar. Quest progress can also be checked at any time using the quest log found right next to it. With that, you are ready to begin!

Quest 1

Unlocks March 25, 2025 Minecraft Movie Event Server Quest One Screenshot Defend the Village! “Help each of the characters to get the Boots of Swiftness Dressing Room item.”
  • Wilderness: Carts delivered (0/5)
  • Mines: Ores retrieved (0/100)
  • Outer Walls: Waves defended (0/5)
The first quest introduces players to all three of the Minecraft Movie event server minigames and requires participation in each one. Nothing special is needed, and the quest will gradually be completed by simply playing the main objective of each minigame. Dawn and Natalie’s Wilderness Minigame: Payload escort mission where mobs attempt to destroy the cart. Contains continuous melee-focused combat. Henry’s Mine Minigame: Standard Minecraft cave mining with a high mob spawn rate featuring spiders, zombies, and creepers. Returning to the elevator turns in your ore and provides rewards. Should death occur, all gathered ore is dropped and typically scooped up by another player. It is important to note quest progress is only made once the ore is handed in, not when it is mined. Garrett’s Outer Walls Minigame: Iron golem defense mission against waves of mobs swarming in from nether portals. Contains continuous ranged combat from atop the village walls.

Quest 2

Unlocks March 27, 2025 Minecraft Movie Event Server Quest Two Screenshot Ghasts Incoming! “Piglin reinforcements have arrived at the Outer Walls – help defend it to get the Battle Cry emote.”
  • Ghasts killed (0/20)
Quest two requires players to return to Garrett’s Outer Walls minigame and defeat 20 ghasts. This quest is pretty self-explanatory and can once again be completed by simply participating in the minigame’s standard objectives. Should you find that you are having trouble killing the ghasts, upgrading your bow in the village using emeralds can greatly increase its power.

Quest 3

Unlocks March 29, 2025 Minecraft Movie Event Server Quest Three Screenshot Farm Mobs, not Crops! “The fight is going well. Make sure it stays that way to get the Mushroom Hat Dressing Room item.”
  • Enemies killed (0/200)
Quest three requires 200 enemies to be killed across any of the three minigames. We recommend Dawn and Natalie’s Wilderness Minigame for this objective due to the large number of mobs that can be cut down together in melee combat, especially if you have obtained the hidden battle axe on the map or upgraded your sword in the village.

Quest 4

Unlocks March 31, 2025 Minecraft Movie Event Server Quest Four Screenshot Protect the Cart! “The wandering trader’s route has expanded, defend the cart to get the Kadoosh! emote.”
  • Carts with at least 40% health delivered (0/3)
Quest four is the first quest that can potentially cause some trouble as it is group-dependent. The carts escorted in Dawn and Natalie’s Wilderness Minigame must reach the objective with at least 40% health remaining. If you get a bad lobby, you may find yourself fighting mobs off the cart with only a few players, which makes this quest extremely hard. We recommend attempting it when the servers are most active during prime hours, and if you still get unlucky, leaving and coming back a bit later should provide a new group.

Quest 5

Unlocks April 2, 2025 MMES: Quest Five Screenshot Low on Iron! “Protect the iron golems at the Outer Walls to get the Jet Pack Dressing Room item!”
  • Waves cleared with at least two Iron Golems alive (0/5)
Upping the difficulty again, quest five may cause trouble as it is also group-dependent. The goal this time is to have at least two iron golems survive a full wave of Garrett’s Outer Walls Minigame. If you get a bad lobby with too many AFK players or simply a lack of players, you may find yourself unable to complete this objective due to the sheer number of mobs. Much like with quest four, we recommend attempting it when the servers are most active during prime hours, and if you still get unlucky, leaving and coming back a bit later should provide a new group.

Quest 6

Unlocks April 4, 2025 MMES: Quest Six Screenshot Mine Diamonds! “The village needs more diamonds! Finish all quests to get the Yearn Cape!”
  • Diamonds retrieved (0/60)
  • Quests completed (0/5)
The first objective of quest six is the completion of the previous five quests, which can be achieved by following along with our individual quest guides above. The second objective has us return to the mines, but this time, we are heading down further to the second level. Sadly, as of the writing of this article, the second level is still locked, so we do not yet know what mobs await us. However, we do know that there will be diamonds! Up until this point, none of the quests required the use of the upgrade stations and enchanting tables found in the village, but for this venture, at least an iron pickaxe will be needed. Depending on the difficulty and rarity of the diamonds, having fortune on there as well may be extremely beneficial. With all that in mind, we recommend using any saved emeralds from all the previous quests on at least an iron pickaxe and fortune one. Having some armor upgrades could also end up being a life-saving investment as well. Once this final quest is complete, you can claim your cape from the quest log right inside the server. Congratulations on saving the Overworld!
