In a recent YouTube video, a new Minecraft 1.21 block was revealed! This one loot-filled and perfect for multiplayer servers. So, today, we explore all the confirmed details on the Vault in our Minecraft 1.21 Vault and Trial Key guide.

The Minecraft 1.21 Vault

Vaults are a new block that will generate naturally in Trial Chambers and possibly other structures down the line. So, why are they special? They generate loot for each unique player a single time! This means that every player on a server can receive rewards from a Vault block once, assuming they have a Trial Key.

How to Unlock Vaults

Players hoping to unlock their first Vault will each need a Trial Key. These are unique to Trial Chambers and can spawn as loot after defeating all the mobs in a Trial Spawner as well as occasionally generating inside Trial Chamber chests. After a Trial Key has been obtained, unlocking a Vault is as simple as right-clicking it with the key in hand.

At this time, the loot within Vault blocks has not been fully disclosed. However, we know from the video showcase that it will eject up to or at least four rewards. These include enchanted diamond and iron armor, enchanted diamond and iron tools, and Golden Apples. What the chances of each type are and how many items will spawn will hopefully be answered in this week’s Minecraft 1.21 snapshot. The moment it is live, we will update this guide!
