Long ago, an item called a bundle was announced for the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update, yet bundles would instead find themselves in an experimental limbo lasting years. So, today, we explore the exciting confirmation that bundles are almost here in our Minecraft 1.21 bundles guide!

What Are Bundles?

Bundles are non-stackable items that allow a single inventory slot to hold a variety of items as long as the total is no more than 64. For example, rather than 32 cobblestone and 32 cobbled deepslate taking up two inventory slots, they could instead be placed within a bundle, making them only take up one. Items that only stack to 16, such as ender pearls, will count as four items within a bundle, while items that don’t stack at all will count as 64. Players will find bundles particularly useful and powerful during exploration and mining, where it is common to have multiple inventory slots taken up by various items despite the total number of those items not exceeding 64.

How to Craft Minecraft 1.21 Bundles

Minecraft 1.21 Bundle Recipe Screenshot Bundles can be crafted on a crafting table using two string and six rabbit hides. The top row from left to right is string, rabbit hide, and string. The middle row is rabbit hide, empty space, and rabbit hide. Finally, the bottom row is rabbit hide, rabbit hide, and rabbit hide. For a visual representation of this recipe, please see the image we included above.

How to Use Minecraft 1.21 Bundles

Minecraft 1.21 Bundles Interface Screenshot Bundles can be interacted with right from one’s inventory by picking it up and right-clicking the blocks and items to place within. Alternatively, one can pick up each individual item and right-click on the bundle instead. Bundles can also be actively used within one’s inventory to automatically remove the last item put in or outside one’s inventory to dump all the items within out into the world.
