How to Get the MCC Cape

For a limited time, another cape is available to earn in-game! But this one can only be obtained by taking a few hours to play. So, today, we explain step by step how to get the MCC cape before the event ends on August 4^th at 6pm EST.

How to Join the Event Server

The first step to earning the MCC cape is joining the temporary event server exclusive to Bedrock Edition. Simply open Minecraft Bedrock Edition, select “Join the Event” on the left side of the screen, and agree to the prompted download. Once complete, you will find yourself in the official MCC event lobby with plenty of other players running around.

How to Get the MCC Cape

Obtaining the MCC cape is no easy feat and requires every challenge on the event server to be complete. Below, we have listed each challenge for reference, but don’t forget your personal progress can be viewed anytime using the checklist item in-game.

Red Rabbits Challenge

Description: While wearing the Red Rabbits Beanie, run over a Launch Pad 50 times while completing the Ace Race minigame. Reward: Red Rabbits Head Character Creator Item

Orange Ocelots Challenge

Description: While wearing the Orange Ocelots Beanie, run over 100 Speed Boosts while completing the Ace Race minigame. Reward: Orange Ocelots Head Character Creator Item

Yellow Yaks Challenge

Description: While wearing the Yellow Yaks Beanie, defeat 350 frozen enemies in the Meltdown minigame. Reward: Yellow Yaks Head Character Creator Item

Lime Llamas Challenge

Description: While wearing the Lime Llamas Beanie, give out 10 Gifting Boxes. You can purchase Gifting Boxes from the Toy Vendor in the main lobby. Reward: Lime Llamas Head Character Creator Item

Green Geckos Challenge

Description: While wearing the Green Geckos Beanie, paint 200 blocks in the “Copy the Painting” challenge from the Grid Runners minigame. Reward: Green Geckos Head Character Creator Item

Cyan Coyotes Challenge

Description: While wearing the Cyan Coyotes Beanie, Collect 75 Coin Piles from the Sands of Time or Meltdown minigames. Reward: Cyan Coyotes Head Character Creator Item

Aqua Axolotls Challenge

Description: While wearing the Aqua Axolotls Beanie, find the Lost Pearl. It’s hidden in a pool of water... Reward: Aqua Axolotls Head Character Creator Item

Blue Bats Challenge

Description: While wearing the Blue Bats Beanie, collect 100 sand from the Sands of Time minigame. Reward: Blue Bats Head Character Creator Item

Purple Pandas Challenge

Description: While wearing the Purple Pandas Beanie, place 200 ingredients in the “Bake the Cake” challenge from the Grid Runners minigame. Reward: Purple Pandas Head Character Creator Item

Pink Parrots Challenge

Description: While wearing the Pink Parrots Beanie, run through the Elytra Gates while completing the Ace Race minigame 25 times. Reward: Pink Parrots Head Character Creator Item

Grid Runners Challenge

Description: Complete a Grid Runners minigame! Reward: “Ride to Victory” Emote

Sands of Time Challenge

Description: Enter the Sands of Time minigame, survive for 2 minutes, then successfully escape! Reward: “Victory Cartwheel” Emote

Meltdown Challenge

Description: Survive until the 3rd room in the Meltdown minigame. Reward: “Flying Chicken” Emote

Ace Race Challenge

Description: Complete a course of the Ace Race minigame! Reward: “Kiss the Crowd” Emote

Mystery Cave Challenge

Description: Complete all 7 of the painted puzzle challenges in the mysterious cave. Reward: MCC Crown Character Creator Item

Will the MCC Cape Be Available for Java Edition?

At this time, there has been no indication that the MCC cape will be made available for Java Edition. However, Mojang made no public statement that the cherry blossom cape would eventually come to Java Edition either. This makes it possible but in no way guaranteed.
