Empyrion gives free rein to its space explorers to build the spaceship of their dreams. However, each intergalactic vessel falls under a specific category with distinct features, advantages, and shortcomings. So, let’s dive deep into the vessels in Empyrion - Galactic Survival and learn about each ship's features and capabilities (and more). All Vessels (Ships) in Empyrion - Galactic Survival
The vessels in Empyrion - Galactic Survival fall under three main categories: Hover, Small, and Capital. Despite players having the freedom to create any ship of any design in Empyrion, its starter will be the prime determinant for the vessel's type.Hover Vessel
As its name implies, the Hover Vessel is a hovercraft. Formerly known as the Ground Vessel before the Pre-Alpha 3.0.0 Update, players can only use Empyrion - Galactic Survival Vessels under this category on a planet's surface. However, thanks to the game's voxel-based building system, you can start building a Hover Vessel anywhere, including space. Creating a Hover Vessel requires a Hover Vessel Starter. This starter kit requires the following requirements to craft:- Input: 1x Core
- Raw inputs: Iron Ore, Carbon Substrate, Copper Ore, Silicon Ore, Crushed Stone, Ice Blocks, Pentaxid, Promethium Ore, Cobalt Ore, Magnesium Ore, Neodymium Ore, Erestrum Ore, Sathium Ore, Zascosium Ore, Gold Ore, Titanium Ore, Platinum Ore, Aluminum Ore, Wood Logs, Titanium Ore, Egg, Berries, Buds, Fruit, Grain, Herbal Leaves, Mushrooms, Natural Stimulant, Natural Sweetener, Spice, or Vegetables
- Crafting station: Portable Constructor (19.2 seconds), Large Constructor (12 seconds), or Advanced Constructor (6 seconds)
Hover Vessel Starter Stats
- Type: Building Block
- Mass: 150 kg
- Volume: 31.3 SU
- Unlock Level: 1
Small Vessel
Astronauts can explore a planet’s atmosphere and nearby moons and asteroids with a Small Vessel. Albeit it has “small” in its name, it’s sufficiently large to hold different sections, including weapons and ammunition. However, a Small Vessel isn’t powerful enough to venture far into the universe. Like the Hover Vessel, building a Small Vessel starts with a starter kit. This time, you need a Capital Vessel Starter, which has the following requirements:- Input: 2x Flux Coil and 1x Core
- Raw inputs: Iron Ore, Carbon Substrate, Copper Ore, Silicon Ore, Crushed Stone, Ice Blocks, Pentaxid, Promethium Ore, Cobalt Ore, Magnesium Ore, Neodymium Ore, Erestrum Ore, Sathium Ore, Zascosium Ore, Gold Ore, Titanium Ore, Platinum Ore, Aluminum Ore, Wood Logs, Titanium Ore, Egg, Berries, Buds, Fruit, Grain, Herbal Leaves, Mushrooms, Natural Stimulant, Natural Sweetener, Spice, or Vegetables
- Crafting station: Large Constructor (12 seconds) or Advanced Constructor (6 seconds)
Capital Vessel Starter Stats
- Type: Building Block
- Mass: 200 kg
- Volume: 40.0 SU
- Unlock Level: 5
Capital Vessel
Exploring the far reaches of the galaxy requires a Capital Vessel. Vessels in Empyrion made with a Capital Vessel Starter result in a spacecraft that's both a base and an intergalactic vehicle. Because of its massive size, it has more requirements than other types of vessels in Empyrion - Galactic Survival. In particular, it needs a Generator, Fuel Tank, Cockpit, RCS, Gravity Generator, and Thrusters for it to run. Additionally, players may outfit their Capital Vessels with Warp Drives and Warp Drive Tanks. Craft a Capital Vessel Starter using the following requirements:- Input: 2x Flux Coil and 1x Core
- Raw inputs: 5x Cobalt Ore and 5x Neodymium Core
- Crafting Station: Large Constructor (50 seconds) or Advanced Constructor (25 seconds)
Capital Vessel Starter Stats
- Type: Building Block
- Mass: 1.5 t
- Volume: 400 SU
- Unlock Level: 7
