Core Keeper: How to Build a Slime Farm

Slime is an important resource in Core Keeper as it allows players to craft several useful items anywhere from bombs to candles. But going around the Dirt biome on your own, it can take awhile to kill enough enemies to gather slime. Instead, you can speed the process up by building your very own slime farm in Core Keeper!

How to Build a Slime Farm in Core Keeper

Before building a Slime Farm in Core Keeper, certain things must be pointed out. The idea here is to automate the Slime drops so you don’t need to walk around the Dirt biome, killing every Slime you see. The things you’ll need for this process to work are Ground Slimes and Spike Traps. You should also build a barricade around the Slime Farm to prevent the spawning Slime enemies from escaping. So, create the barricaded area first before proceeding. Note that you can make your Core Keeper Slime Farm any size, depending on your preferences and available resources. Next, place the Spike Traps in the middle of the barricaded area. Then, fill the bare floors with the Ground Slimes. Give it some time, and you’ll see enemy Slimes spawn from the Ground Slimes. The creatures will likely step on the Spike Traps and die, giving you the Slime items you need. Now, you can do other businesses in Core Keeper while the Slime Farm at your base will handle the Slime item farming for you. Don’t forget to return to the farm to collect your loot after a while.

Slime Usage

The Slime item in Core Keeper is a crafting ingredient used for various recipes. The items you can make with it are the following (separated by crafting stations):

Alchemist Table

• Bomb: 3x Bomb Pepper and 2x Slime
• Crude Bomb: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime
• Enrage Potion: 3x Slime and 3x Larva Meat
• Healing Potion: 3x Slime and 3x Heart Berry
• Stoneskin Potion: 3x Slime and 3x Carrock

Carpenter’s Table

• Wash Basin: 5x Wood and 2x Slime

Copper Workbench

• Painter's Table: 8x Wood and 8x Slime
• Small Lantern: 3x Slime and 3x Copper Bar

Electronics Table

• Dynamite Pack: 2x Bomb Pepper, 2x Slime, and 1x Tin Bar

Festive Workbench

• Blue Firework Rocket: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime
• Candle: 1x Torch and 1x Slime
• Green Firework Rocket: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime
• Purple Firework Rocket: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime
• Red Firework Rocket: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime
• The BIG: 10x Bomb Pepper and 10x Slime
• Yellow Firework Rocket: 1x Bomb Pepper and 1x Slime

Ghorm Statue

• Carapace Breastplate: 12x Tin Bar, 5x Larva Meat, 8x Slime, and 6x Fiber
• Carapace Helm: 9x Tin Bar, 4x Larva Meat, 6x Slime, and 5x Fiber

Note: Defeat Ghorm the Devourer to acquire the Ghorm’s Horn needed to activate the statue.

Glurch Statue

• Slime Sword: 8x Copper Bar, 8x Tin Bar, and 15x Slime

Note: Defeat Glurch the Abominous Mass Statue to acquire the Glurch Eye needed to activate the statue.
