The Blackbug in Core Keeper is an ingredient to craft Spicy Bait (as of Version 1.0.1). Interact with the Bait Workbench to craft 10x Spicy Bait using 1x Blackbug and 1x Bomb Pepper. Alternatively, you can feed a Dodo or Strolly Polly 2x Blackbug or any critter except glowbugs. Doing so helps the cattle produce resources. In particular, the Dodo can produce a Dodo Egg, a cooking ingredient, while the Strolly Polly yields the Strolly Poly Plate, a crafting material for various items like the Galaxite armor set.Get Started with a
