Core Keeper 1.0 Release Date
Core Keeper developer Pugstorm announced that the game's version 1.0 will be released on August 27, 2024. On the same day, the mining sandbox adventure title will also release on several consoles, particularly the Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pugstorm COO Sven Thole also shared a special message to the game's community - “Whether you’re just starting on your underground adventure or you’ve been with us since day one, we can’t thank you enough for joining us on this amazing journey. We’re thrilled to be bringing you the full Core Keeper experience soon, and we can’t wait for you to find out all the little details we’ve been saving..."New Content & Features
Core Keeper's developers have been reasonably secretive about the new content and features of the game's full release. Nonetheless, the company posted some teasers of certain elements that players can experience come launch day - and have said that it will be the game's biggest content update yet. One particular piece of content that the trailer showed off from Update 1.0 is a new Dragon/Worm-like boss monster in the wilderness, which looks like a mighty foe to take down. You can see some of the new content in action in the Core Keeper 1.0 and console announcement release date trailer below:Revamped World Generation
Core Keeper 1.0 introduces a new world generation system. Players can customize world seed features before creating the map. Additionally, players can share their seeds, allowing other users to replicate or modify them. Some customizable parameters include ore density, water levels, and biome-spawning patterns. The Conclusion to the Core Keeper’s Main Narrative
Experience the enigmatic conclusion in Version 1.0. Combine discoveries and unveil mysteries surrounding the strange artifact that teleported you to this subterranean world. Remember, Core Keeper is a sandbox game, which means you can still find more activities to enjoy beyond the game’s main storyline.Player vs. Player
Update 1.0 includes a much-awaited feature – PvP. This time, accidental bomb explosions will no longer be the only reason to kill other players within the same Core Keeper server. Soon, players can compete in a battle royale mode or band together to defeat common enemy users. It’s about time to battle for dominion of the underground. The Passage
The Passage in Core Keeper 1.0 is a new endgame biome deep within this underground world. However, players must be well-prepared before venturing into this new area, as it’s not for the faint of heart. Threats are hiding in every corner of The Passage. Nonetheless, you’ll be rewarded for your curiosity and bravery, particularly with the new primal resource called Pandorium.New Combat Styles
Update 1.0 for Core Keeper introduces two new combat styles: Mage and Warlock. These new fighting styles also come with new, yet still related, features, including new armor, weapons, magic, and summoning skills. Additionally, players can take advantage of a new Mana resource to help them rain spell-after-spell to their foes.New Bosses
Core Keeper Update 1.0 will also feature the most bosses ever dropped in a major update for the game. One notable boss encounter is with three hydras: Druidra, Cryodra, and Pydra. These hydras represent nature, ice, and lava. Thankfully, the major patch includes new equipment and enhancements to help players take on these deadly new enemies.Additional Waypoints
Gone are the days when you had to walk from one biome to another, which could take many meaningful minutes of your valuable time. With Update 1.0, take advantage of a new system of waypoints, making exploration more accessible and enjoyable.New Pets
The pet system was introduced in the Paws & Claws Update. Nonetheless, players can soon gain companionship with two new pets: the Pheromoth and Snugglygrade. Don't forget to watch the trailer for these new features below:Summer Update 2024
Since the release date of Core Keeper's full release falls in the summer of 2024, the developer decided to focus their planned Summer Update on fixing bugs and performance issues. So, it’s safe to assume that some of the major additions previously planned for the Core Keeper Summer Update will be pushed back to the game’s full release.
