How to Open GATE Security Crates in Abiotic Factor

Opening the GATE Security Crates in Abiotic Factor requires GATE Security Keys. Players can trade 1x Nyxshade Seed for 1x GATE Security Key from Warren Bunning at the Office Sector. Note that players must discover and enter the Nightmare Realm before Warren offers GATE Security Keys. It’s also important to mention that the Nyxshade Seed is only available through crafting at the Crafting Bench. Its crafting recipe requires the following items:

• 10x Night Essence
• 5x Leyak Essence
• 1x Anteverse Wheat Seed
• 1x Enethiol

Players can get Night Essences by fighting the IS-0059 Reaper in the Security Sector. Alternatively, catch Inkfish in The Night Realm to acquire this item. As for the Anteverse Wheat Seed and Enethiol, these items are reasonably common throughout the facility. Finally, gather Leyak Essences by defeating Leyaks in the XR Containment area in the Labs Sector.

GATE Security Crate Locations

Currently, five GATE Security Crates exist in Abiotic Factor. Note that some crate locations may require you to keep your eyes peeled as the color of these containers can blend well with their surroundings. With that, the locations of these crates are the following:

• Next to Alice Hong in the Level 2 Security Sector of the Office Sector
• In a small room that’s overlooking Silo 3 in the Level 3 Physics Lab D of the Office Sector
• In the location where you first find Sarah Frake, which is a catwalk outside an office in the Manufacturing West region.
• In a hallway above the entryway leading to Containment Block Dirac in the Cascade Laboratories.
• Near the office with the hologram in the Security Sector.
